In the honor of the New Year I decided to dedicate this post to my own resolutions, or thoughts of resolutions, for the upcoming year.
When you think of New Years the generic thought is new beginnings, new adventures, new opportunities, new, new, new, new. But this is just very straightforward thinking on my part, but isn't it just another day? Just a different digit written in place of the year?
Do not get me wrong, however. I believe people making goals to better themselves and their friends and family is fabulous!! But don't limit yourself by the date. You can make changes for the better any day of the year, not just January 1st (insert year here).
In regards to making changes, my friends, it does take a lot of determination. Another stereotypical thought that is attributed with New Years, is the change happens easily. Take it from the expert, that is false! You have to work at change, you may fail a couple of times, you may eat that candy bar you told yourself you wouldn't, but you have to keep at it!
All in all I guess I would say my resolutions would be:
1. Continue to strengthen my faith with my Savior!
2. Eat yummy healthy foods (College has plagued me with the worst eating habits)
3. Explore. I want to venture into the idea of art and music more, and of course science.
4. Selfless not selfish.
5. Everything I do, do with passion! (shout out to my girl Halie Harton!)
....but these changes are not waiting to start in the next few days, they are starting now.
Wishing everyone a joyous and safe New Year!
